Holy, Moly! Federation Square!

Oh my gosh! And what a spot to be at for two entire days! Not as a spectator, but as an individual lucky enough to have a market stall there. I will be at the Buddha’s Day & Multicultural Festival held at Federation Square, Melbourne. Did I say it will be at FED SQUARE?!! Oh me, oh my! Never in my life would I have thought that I would EVER get such an amazing opportunity.

And that’s not the best bit! I am lucky enough to share this experience with one of my closest friends. Her name is Anli. She is not only a beautiful individual but also a talented artist and when we are together the place is always bursting with energy! Her positivity is truly contagious!

If you want to check out Anli’s artwork, find her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/annlumina/

I’m still pinching myself that we have been given this opportunity. It is absolutely wonderful. Am I nervous? Heck yes! Beyond anything though, I am unbelievably excited. Imagine all the people I’ll get to meet? I cannot wait!

It will be on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of May. On the 19th we will be there 10am-7pm, on the 20th we will be there 11am-5pm.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

For all this I could not be more grateful for a Melbourne based company by the name of ColourSpace. What they do for artists is absolutely amazing. They bring artist’s work to places where those artists may never have had a chance to display their talents. They are innovative and are constantly trying to build a better community amongst artists and those who appreciate art! This opportunity for Anli and I would not have happened without them. I thoroughly encourage you to check out their website and social media pages.

Their website is https://colourspace.gallery/ from there follow their social media links!

As well as ColourSpace, I will be forever grateful for the FGY art gallery. This art gallery/community space (as well as many other things) chose Anli, myself and one other artist to be part of their market stall at the Buddha’s Day & Multicultural Festival. If not for them and the individuals at ColourSpace choosing us, this momentous occasion (for me) would not be happening! I honestly cannot believe it and am truly humbled by all of it.

I would never be able to say all the amazing things that the FGY gallery do better than them so please check out their website at https://www.fgsmelbourne.org.au/fo-guang-yuan-art-gallery/

What will we be doing there?

Across both days Anli and I will be holding a market stall with a spread of our artwork and running a few workshops with the help of volunteers from FGY and a team member from ColourSpace.

We are there to connect with every one at the market about who we are, what we do and mostly why we love creating art. Anli and I have very unique and distinct styles that vary greatly from each other and it will be incredible to share that with you!

So if you happen to be in Melbourne that weekend, come and say hi! I would love to meet you and have a chat. You might even get to meet Sam and my two beautiful girls!
